TECHNICAL DATA

  • Forces are measured keeping solenoid vertical with plunger run going upwards.
  • Forces are measured in following conditions:
    - Power supply: 100% of nominal current.
    - Coil temperature is as in operating conditions.
    - Forces are expressed in Newton
    (1Kg=9,8 N)
  • ∆T Overtemperature:
The overtemperature for solenoids exposed to room temperature at 25°-35°C and with 105% of nominal power is 80°C (176°F) maximum
    (Rule: EN 60335-1).
  • Conductors:
Conductors used for coils are class-F (155°C/311°F) isolated, except for specific customer needs.
  • Dimensions:
Dimensions values refer to full lenght of solenoid with plunger inserted and closed (run=0).

Power Supply:

- Direct Current or rectified
- Single-phase Alternated Current with embedded rectifier

The Duty Cycle (E.D.):
Is the ratio between ON time and TOTAL cycle time (ON + OFF time).

The E.D. gives for every product the maximum cycle length.
For holding electromagnets the E.D. is 100%

The maximum cycle length (ON time + OFF time) is considered as 300 seconds. This means that for cycle times over 300s 100% ED solenoids must be used.

SOLENOID CONFIGURATION:

In order to correctly identify the right solenoid configuration depending on needs, several informations are needed:

  • Stroke in mm
  • (Starting torque) Force at the start of the stroke measured in Newton
  • (Ending torque) Force at the end of the stroke measured in Newton
  • Nominal supply current and AC frequency
  • Number of cycles/hour
  • Duty Cycle (%) as above. If ED value is not as indicated in our technical data, please refer to the value immediately above the value obtained. Solenoids with specific ED values are available upon request.
  • Engagement: pull, push, push/pull
  • Specific working conditions: air temperature, humidity, etc.
